Directors

Susan Beil Connally

Mrs. Connally holds a BFA in Dance from the Boston Conservatory of Music. Owner & Director since 1976, she has been the Artistic Director of SA Met Ballet since 1987. Professional experience includes soloist roles with Boston Dance Theatre, featured dancer in Equity Musicals, Assistant Choreographer to Tommy Tune, Choreographer for numerous college programs and over 50 years of teaching. Mrs. Connally teaches Ballet, Pointe/Variations and Pre-Pointe classes.

Mike Connally

Mr. Connally, co-owner and office manager, holds a BME from Texas Christian University with continued studies at Eastman School of Music. He was a professional singer under the direction of Leonard Bernstein, Leopold Stokowski and Robert Shaw. Mr. Connally was a choir teacher for 21 years in institutions such as St. Mary's University, Randolph AFB High School, and Churchill High School.

Faculty

Karin Connally Heiden

Karin has a BFA in Dance from the Boston Conservatory of Music. Her professional experience includes performing with Peggy Spina Tap Co. (NYC) and her choreography has been performed from San Antonio to Montreal. She teaches Ballet, Modern, Contemporary, Tap, Jazz and is certified to teach Progressing Ballet Technique.

Joann Constantin

Mrs. Constantine has been on faculty since 1990. She was a Moving Experience founding company member and competed in the National Tap Off. Joann is our primary tap instructor.

Michael Landez

Mr. Landez, a San Antonio native, has performed with American Repertory Ballet and been on the faculty of the Joffrey TX summer intensive. Michael teaches Ballet with Pas de Deux.

Jacqueline Courchene

Miss Courchene has a BS in Dance, Performance & Choreography Concentration. She has choreographed works for Kingwood Dance Theatre and SA Met Ballet. Jackie teaches Modern, Contemporary and Jazz.

Jessica Ramm

Miss Ramm, Ballet San Antonio Company Dancer, has performed with Alabama Ballet, Oklahoma City Ballet and Texas Ballet Theatre. She teaches Advanced Pointe and Variations.

Emily Reason

Ms. Reason has trained at the Royal Ballet School, HARID Conservatory (Valedictorian) and the Texas Ballet Theater Professional Division. Her professional experience includes Nashville Ballet Second Company and California Ballet Company Corps de Ballet.
